APPRECIATION AND GRATITUDE

Army Sergeant Sam devoted more than eleven years of his life to serving our country, including multiple tours of duty in Iraq.  Sam served as a horizontal construction engineer, responsible for operation heavy equipment used in construction projects for the Army.  Upon retirement, Sam and his wife (also an Army veteran!),  moved the family to the Midwest and went back to school to finish their degrees.  The cost of the move was expensive, and the bills started to build up and go unpaid.  SALUTE assisted Sam with his rent, providing stability for the family as the job search continued.   Sam’s wife expressed their gratitude in a note to SALUTE:

“ We both are service-connected, disabled veterans and pride ourselves in being able to take care of our household, so it was at our lowest that we did reach out and ask – for the benefit of our children.  Thank God for you all.  We’re from Hawaii and relocated our family so that we both could finish our degrees and better our children’s futures…There are no words to show our appreciation and endless gratitude to all of you.”
