Lieutenant Commander Ben was an experienced Navy pilot, serving overseas during the Afghanistan and Iraq wars, as well at various domestic locations. His cherished career came to an end when he was diagnosed with Parkinsons, a neurological progressive brain disorder. Ben was medically retired after 15 years of service. Unable to live independently, Ben moved in with his parents, along with his faithful service dog Archie. Ben’s days are brightened by visits from his son, with whom he shares custody with his ex-wife. Ben and his family contacted SALUTE for assistance with their mortgage and SALUTE was proud to help this family maintain their home.
