Army veteran Kristy does not let her service-related disability slow her down, nor her responsibilities as a single mother of two. Despite many challenges, she has worked full-time, until a recent surgery required her to take a leave without pay from her job. During her recovery, her car broke down, and she was left without transportation for her daughter’s school or to the doctor appointments. SALUTE was able to help Kristy with her car repair bill, allowing her to get back on her feet financially, get to physical therapy and take her daughter to school.
