The following programs serve deployed, active, veteran military service members and their families; those challenged physically, mentally and emotionally with Post Traumatic Stress and Traumatic Brain injuries, those experiencing long- term care in hospitals, rehabilitation centers and shelters.
Emergency Financial Assistance Program
The eligibility for the Emergency Financial Assistance Program has been temporarily redefined and will require the applicant to be currently service connected or involved in the process of an evaluation for service connection.

**Eligibility requirements : OIF / OEF Must provide Military points of contact and have written consent given to VA case manager allowing us permission to discuss your case. Due to the current caseload of veterans needing assistance, Please allow 2-3 weeks.

A collaborative effort with numerous private Hospitals and Rehabilitation Centers around the country providing financial assistance along with practical and emotional support to family members of severely injured hospitalized military members receiving specialized long-term treatment.
Builders of Hope
A collaborative effort with builders/contractors/local businesses offering specially adapted home renovation opportunities to severely disabled military members and their families. (project basis)
Therapeutic Military Adaptive Sports Camps/Activities
(Opportunity to shift focus from disability to ability)
Includes paralympic sports camp, cycling, fishing/hunting, horseback riding, skiing, water sports, and wheelchair basketball.
Through Our Nightingale Program SALUTE provided Ramina the assistance she needed during her hospitalization at RIC. Two years later, SALUTE was there again, as she attended the RIC Military Sports Camp. SALUTE purchased an Adaptive Sports Bike for Ramina so that she can continue moving forward and change her life!
