October 4, 2008 2nd Annual 5K-5 Parks Walk/Run
Sponsored by the Itasca Knights of Columbus and the Itasca Park District. Enjoy your 5K Run or Walk past five parks in beautiful Itasca. This is a multi-terrain course that starts at Usher Park at the corner of Walnut and Grove Streets. The course takes you past Washington Park, then through Songbird Slough in the DuPage County Forest Preserve, followed by a serene pass through the Spring Brook Nature Center where you will enjoy your walk or run along the wooden boardwalk. Then head over Kimball Hill through the Nature Center Arboretum along the marsh trail and around the Itasca Water Park. You'll cross the footbridge to Grove Street back to the finish line at Usher Park.

Salute, Inc. is proud to announce that we have been chosen as an Associate Charity for the BANK OF AMERICA CHICAGO MARATHON! We are the only charity running to help military personnel and their families!! Open registration is now closed but if you are already registered for the marathon and have not chosen a charity to run for, please consider joining our team.
