“Beat the Babe” Charity Promotion to Benefit Salute, Inc.
Friday, June 24th 7:00 p.m. Gatsby’s Pub – Arlington Heights
We want everyone to meet Caitlin. She’ll make her debut at the Windy City Open on Friday June 24th at 7:00 p.m. at Gatsby’s Pub in Arlington Heights. Not only can you get your photo taken with her, you’ll have a chance to gauge her talents – her Golden Tee talents that is – in the “Beat the Babe” closest-to-the-pin contest. Make a $5 or $10 donation to Salute, Inc. and if you beat her you’ll take home a t-shirt and a sleeve of golf balls. Don’t worry, if you don’t we won’t make you wear an “I Got Beat by the Babe” button.
Salute is the Arlington Heights-based organization that helps veterans and their families. Last year Golden Tee players raised over $75,000 for Salute at the Golden Tee Players Charity Championship.
There will be something for everyone at the Golden Tee Windy City Open. Great food and drink, handicap and scratch tournaments, the game’s top professional players and the first-ever appearance of the Golden Tee Babe herself.

See you there!
While cheering on our runners at the Chicago Marathon, a bunch of marketing students and their teacher (from Columbia College) were very touched by our cause and decided to host a fundraiser for SALUTE on December 9th, at Sheffield's in Chicago.
Below is information about the Third Party Fundraiser that was given last night in honor of SALUTE by the Columbia College Marketing Communications students. There was fabulous food, drinks, musical entertainment, a silent auction & raffles! The entire event was organized by the students. Their professionalism was evidenced by their highly organized and successful evening! Please support their efforts. They are VERY enthusiastic about it!

Below is a photo from the Buffalo Grove High School Dance Marathon last weekend. This was the top fundraising team appropriately named "Team USA". The event involved 190 students who participated.
This very special event raised $6500 for SALUTE programs!
Amanda and her 5 soccer teammates along with Coach Dan Dein and all the parents will be travelling around the country all summer and will end up playing in the National Disney tournament in January, 2011. “Soccer for Soldiers” will be their slogan. Our friends, Will & Mary Beth Beiersdorf, started Salute, Inc., a not for profit organization whose mission is to raise funds for soldiers and their families. Attached are some pictures of the girls from their first tournament win in Council Bluffs , IA where they outscored their opponents 60-3 in 5 victories. The Chevy sponsor on hand at the tournament made signs for the girls and cheered us on to victory. The best part was actually having a handful of veterans over the course of the weekend individually ask us what Team Salute was all about and getting an opportunity to thank them for their service. They were very touched, but not as much as we were. The girls are obtaining pledges for $1/goal or other monetary donations and 100% of the funds raised will go to Salute, Inc.!!
